Hello, from off-the-mountain...

So, I'm in Connecticut at my dad's house... my macbook came in today-- very refreshing to have a laptop again. I think my most recent laptop died at least 2 years ago, maybe longer. Macbook is pretty alright, I have to say... still adjusting to the whole "mac" thing... god damnit, it will NOT be a way of life. But anyhow... this is what I got... it's great, really, no complaints... I'll still try to right-click forever, in vain. That aside... I'm less than a week off the mountain-- for those of you (most of you) who I've neglected, I was on Mount Baldy at the Zen Center there for a bit more than a month-- it was as awesome as I hoped it would be, made a lot of really amazing friends who I hope to stay in touch with... as I approach college (aka in the next couple weeks) I'll probably make a new blog... may or may not keep up with this one, but I'll fill you in if I switch locations. Got a new cell phone number (Portland number) so, if you need my new number, let me know by one of various means. Not surprisingly, life is pretty similar to how it used to be... except I (for) now have the ability to rationalize my way through any grueling task I set my mind to. I'm still pretty much me... except I know my limits a lot better and take care of myself a lot better... I'm in Connecticut 4 more days (where did the last 4 go?) then back to Albuquerque until August 21st.

I survived an earthquake! And it fucking rocked... I also hiked Mount Baldy (maybe some photos to come, at some point). Both events just about killed me, but I wouldn't have missed either for the world. I also saw Venice beach for a few days on a sneaky vacation there... filled out a lot of loan applications...
