Okay so somebody explain this Valentine thing to me. Seriously. It just makes no sense. Why do you have to go through the pomp and circumstance of a holiday to show somebody they're important to you? And with an offering of dead plants, for that matter? Chocolates, fine, but flowers just seem dumb to me. Someone make a compelling argument to ( Read more... )

From what I understand, it's like a birthday. It's that very special day that happens only once a year where you can celebrate how much you love somebody dear to you. Um, it's a day dedicated to love, I think. I didn't know you gave them dead plants, though! Now that just sounds silly. Why would you do that?

[ Forgive her for her future answers regarding said V-Day, as well. She's just as lost about this as you are, but she'll try ;~~; ]

I don't get the plant thing either! That's the one that's really making me scratch my head. Having a special day to tell somebody you love 'em, fine, but giving flowers just seems dumb. They don't even last that long! What sort of symbolism is that?

[It's okay! They can be confused together~]

[Yeah, he's confused, too.]

Yeah, for like a couple days. Might as well give 'em the whole plant though, you know?

Or take them to a forest filled with flowers! That way, you could stare at them for as long as you like!

Field trip might get complicated, though, especially around here. The flowers in the plaza seem harmless enough, and the park, but in this place you never really know...

You'll never know if you don't try, right? I've been around the city! I haven't seen any bad plants!

Fair enough--things around here do seem to be rather straightforward, at least. I ain't been to the park yet, so maybe I'll go investigate the general temperament of the flora. Just for fun.
