i just realized that i've spent the last day or two trying to understand the format of vesafb commands for my kernel and that i don't acutally need it because i've got uvesafb. ... great. well at least i've got more exposure to the concept of the frame buffer, though to be quite honest with you i'd figured out how shit scrolls in and out of ram back in 1993.
