i like the new evanescence album. got a leaked copy of it today from one of my friends. it's still got a sonorous quality to it and yearning bits. it doesn't sound as forced as i'd thought it might. seems as if they might have spent so much time playing the songs they knew the ones that were made before they lost a band member and their house ( Read more... )

totally. I wrote this while listening to the first half of it. track 8 really is the bestest shit in my opinion. the 'like you' track. all the coolest elements and haunting verberations out of distant echo points. it's srsly awesome. the first few tracks seemed kinda shakey, but i'm willing to put money down on it that after about 5-8 listens, i'll never see that in it agian.

a bit of superimposition of my own expections. i expect it to flop. i've thrown this and their first album on my ipod with it and they mesh t3h awesome. I may give it a few more run throughs and then abandon it until the thing actually comes out. there's something about a new music album that you can put on the speakers and just sit infront of and read the lyrics as you listen to it.

now if only i could find a version with like, cool extra shwag for pre-ordering *plots*
