I almost always have good luck (of one kind or another) with the Goodwill out on Augusta. To wit:
three new-to-me romances by reliable authors: Patricia Gaffney's Wild at Heart, Elizabeth Hoyt's To Beguile a Beast, and SE Phillips' Just Imagine
fresh from 1972, The Vogue Sewing Book of Fitting, Adjustments, & Alterations. I'm sure this stuff would be self-evident to the more skilled/experienced, but since I'm not one of those, I figured, for $2, it was worth it. It seems pretty thorough, although it's going to be hard to pass up those high-necked, puffy plaid shirt designs.
and the one I'm quietly squeeing over the most, The Witch of Blackbird Pond. Love, adore this book, and am particularly glad to find a copy since my old one was missing the very last page.
I may not have accomplished Great (Domestic) Things yesterday, but I will today. Yes.
Time for the daily afternoon severe thunderstorm, a la the opening of "What's Opera, Doc?" Ooh, lightning.
