Choti Bahu... PArt II
Kahani ab tak (= The story so far)
Dev unveils her and SHOCK, it isn't her dream girl.
"- Who are you?
- I'm Vishaka, the one you wanted to marry, am i not ?"......
Dev can't believe what's happening. He thinks it's his grandmother's joke because she kept on not letting him see his bride until this moment. As he comes down to complain, his bestfriend unveils a big wedding photo of her new daughter-in-law and then Dev must face the truth that this girl, is the one in his bedroom, it seems to be his wife BUT it's not with her he wanted to get married. Dev is devastated.
Radhika is devastated too because she is considering herself as his wife, officially not, but religiously she IS, yet she can't tell anyone because her sister's (and consequently her family's) reputation would be ruined.
What happens is that Dev is trying to explain the situation to his bestfriend and his grandmother but he isn't able to, seing all of them so happy about having a "choti bahu", he doesn't want to destruct their happiness. That's why he decides to go searching for his dream girl, the real one and once he finds her he will bring her and tell everyone that SHE should be his wife.
Radhika is totally lost. She doesn't know how to behave anymore. Her mother feels sorry for her, her grandmother feels happy for Vishaka. One thing i didn't mention yet -oh maybe i did - is that Radhika's father is a priest, he is the only one not knowing about the exchanging situation and all because religiously it's a sin, he never would have allowed it.
Radhika can't think of herself as a simple girl anymore, she is married and her grandmother, seeing the mark on her forhead, the sindoor, gets angry and tries to get rid of it. But the sindoor won't go out [divine sign = SHE is the wife].
Few days later (i am trying to get the main events right ?), Dev's family gets concerned because he is not acting loving and caring over Vishaka. Nobody understands why and Vishaka also can't figure it out : "This guy has a problem or what ? First he wants to marry me without knowing me and now he is ignoring me ? bastard !"
Dev decides to go back to Vrindavan, small town where he met his Dream girl (i will say Dream girl for Radhika when it comes to Dev until he finally knows her name is Radhika lmao !!). There, finally he spots her and tries to run after her but when she sees him, she runs and he can't catch her. She leaves behind - like an indian cinderella - her ankle bracelet.
Dev comes home late and after talking badly to Vishaka, her mother goes to see him and demands an explanation because he is unfair to his wife. Then, angry, frustrated, Dev tells to her mom :
"SHE iS not THE GIRl I LOVE !! There has been a huge mistake mom, it's not her !"
Dev's mom is stunned....
