Me again..

What ? another post so soon ? what's happening to me ? LoL !!

I am here to make an annoucement, that i'll be putting of summaries about the indian soap i presented in my earlier post Choti Bahu, as it seems it got the attention of some of my dearest friends !!

The Opening theme : This theme is particularly important and gives you already an idea of what to expect when you begin watching the tvshow like me because the song talks about Radhika : "my life will always be half empty.... how can i tell and to whom that i am the daughter-in-law".

Unveiling the faces of the three main protagonists of the show

Dev is a sweet guy (who i love*___*). He is really naive and simple. It's important to point out that generally on indian soaps, the male protagonist doesn't have such a strong personality. Here, Dev totally - how can i explain - he makes choices and he suffers a lot, maybe more than Radhika. All he wants is to be with the girl he likes, which can lead him to behaving like a selfish and childish man

Radhika is the girl he falls in love with because she has a pure soul and she is respectful and faithful to her parents and to her religion. She is devoted to her "Kanha" (aka. Krishna) to whom she talks, reveals her feeling and who appears in her mind to give her strength and to lead her. She has to deal with her status of "orphan", hence, she always felt herself as inferior to other, especially to her sister Vishaka.

Vishaka, being the real child of the family has always been capricious and overloved by the grandmother. She dreams of becoming a star of cinema and will use evry way to aim at it. She disposes of Radhika as her wish but she is not a bad girl. She kind of values Radhika's presence, because without her, she will be lost..

The mythology is important here because of the names and the god's avatar chosen. In the indian mythology, Krishna seduces lots of "gopis" (= cow-herd girls) and one of them was Radha. Krishna began having a deep affection for her. Radha  and Krishna symbolizes as a couple the perfect love and the ultimate truth. They transcendent passion and symbolize divine love. Radha has many names and one of them is "Radhika" whose worship of  Krishna consists of fulfilling His desires.

"The relationship between Radha and Krishna is the example of the highest and purest love, an indissoluble union of the highest intermingling and completion; it is also a love expressed through music. Music underlines the illicit relationship; this love shadowed by secrecy, adultery and scorn, finds its outlet in Krishna's charming and passionate musical talents."
