Hello 2011
Mon dieu, if the whole year is as dull as this first days... I think I've become too much of an adult!
Anyway. NYE was spent with the family (Sergio included). After the mandatory 12 grapes we eat in Spain, we drove to Sitges (I just live 20 km away) and spent the night with my buddy David, a friend of him who happens to be someone I also know and a French friend as well.. Sitges wasn't very packed but we had our drinks at reasonable (unbelievable) prices and we had some fun, although my body doesn't like to be kept awaken until 6.30 am
Then we've driven up to Figueres because we're on vactions. Sergio needs to study and I need to write a paper for University. Once this said, we remembered that today it's when sales start in France, so we drove north to Perpinyà and entered some shopping frenzy. The Auchan there is the most magnificient supermarket I've ever been to. We stocked on chocolates (50% off because the season is over up there), wine (we picked just random stuff under 5 euros a bottle from Bourgogne, Côtes du Roussillon and a couple more places) and, of course, 3 kg of cheese of all sorts. Not to forget some yummy stuff as Bonne Maman fruit preserves (which are 25% cheaper than here), a pair of shoes which I needed an flour for bread making (half the price as here).
So quite dull altogether :)
