Yesterday I paid a visit to David and Julio who have just come back from their honeymoon. I'm going to say that they were extremely tacky (I told them) to have been to Punta Cana, in Dominican Republic. They brought me back a bottle of Ron Brugal, which I do enjoy (but I barely drink at home).
Then I had to pass through the "torture" of watching the 110 pictures from their honeymoon. Since David is a MacGeek, he's got AppleTV, so we watched them on their HD Sony Bravia TV 40 inch LCD screen. I have to be thankful that they forgot to bring their video camera!
Funny thing is that they commented on how tacky were the people in the resort (I told them "you were there too, so you were tacky too"). They also met two other gay couples, one French, other Spanish who also were on their honeymoon, although as it happens with this type of trips, they became friends of a hetero married couple from Albacete (they nicknamed them "the Veals").
Besides the tacky part, I was really pleased to see that gay marriage is becoming so boringly normal in our society, that even Spanish-owned resorts offer gay honeymoon packages: they got their complimentary fruit basket, the daily bottle of champagne (well, cava), the romantic dinner on the terrace and so on.
Ok, but David prepare piadina for afternoon snack... So I have to be fair!
