It's been a long time baby!

So, I think this is the longest I’ve ever gone without updating. Thanks for the 2 nudges that I received, because they made me feel loved, Haha.

Well, let’s see, what’s new. I moved into my new apartment in the Jacksonville Historic District of Riverside in mid-May. It’s a really sweet 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment in a converted house that was built in 1904. It doesn’t have internet access (hence the long time between posts) but I will have it once the school year starts in August. It’s got some work that needs to be done, but the hardwood floors are amazing. It doesn’t have a garbage disposal or a dishwasher, but I think that just the aura of the place makes up for anything, expect the spiders. Those little bastards need to take themselves somewhere else. Anyway, my new queen size bed and $80 sofa from the thrift store (I never thought I’d buy there) are awesome too. It has a fireplace, vaulted ceilings, and is very spacious. I’ll post pictures when I can.

I am also taking summer classes and working at JU for the summer. I am taking a boring ass 3 hour class on Africa. Not a particular part, just Africa. It’s a lot of work and a lot of writing, and I just don’t have the patience for it. But, 3 more classes and I am done. I am working in the Orientation office as well. Now, I did this last year, but I have a new job this year and I do anything that anyone else doesn’t want to do too. How fun! LOL

My car still sucks. I went down to Gay Days in Orlando with some friends from Jacksonville and the car overheated on State Road 415 between New Smyrna and Longwood. Turned out it needed a new radiator and instead of spending the time with my friends, I had to stay in my dad’s house for the whole trip. And to add insult to injury, I lost my ID and couldn’t get into any clubs. So, needless to say, that was a wasted 250 mile trip.

My work on my autobiography continues. I don’t have a title, but these ideas hit me and I just write them down. I never have had a writing experience like this one where I don’t sit and write from start to finish, but it’s a different way to do things. I am just composing my thought for it little by little, and eventually they will be coagulated into something of a literary piece. I’ll keep you all updated.

Another year, another round of hurricanes. Well, when I drove through New Smyrna a few weeks ago, the fires were really bad so at least this one will wet the ground down here. I can’t remember a summer that was this hot this early in Florida. It’s brutal, but I’ll look toward October with excited eyes ha-ha.

Well, that’s really about it for now. Hope no one has forgotten about me, and if you have, well, I still love ya. Let me know how you all are doing and keep me up to date!

Until next time toonsters….
