Day 16 at Casa Young

Jul 30, 2006 09:06

It has only been 16 days that we have been here but I feel like it has been ages. The apartment is coming along and now all the boxes have been unpacked. The 2nd bedroom now looks like a 2nd bedroom. Have a computer table, shelves and a sofa bed in it.

Craig and I bought this beautiful console table that is also a wine rack, I too feel a little grown up as it was from a trendy store called Freedom furniture. It will arrive on Thursday, just in time for our house warming party this Saturday.

I am starting to wish we had a say in the colour of carpet, I love the cream colour but it shows up everything. I must say T, that I am kind of glad you will not be coming to the party as I would be freaking out about the red wine. There will be a few other people that I will have to worry about though.

No direct neighbours yet, someone has moved in 2 doors down from us and Craig said they are older, phew!

I am becoming a snob and sterotyping in my old age. Yesterday an estate agent was showing this guy around the apartment next to us, he looked about 21 and was a goth. I walked inside and said to Craig that there is no way he is moving in. Imagining music being played loudly and lots of parties. The people must have bought it for renting purposes. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I am off until Thursday as I have Margaret coming to visit me. She has never been to Canberra and I am trying to think of things to do with her. Canberra is a great place to visit if you are into museums and art. On Wednesday we are both going to the snow for the day to go snow boarding. I am soooooooooooooo excited about it. We leave Canberra at 5.30am and arrive at Persiher Blue at 8am, then return at 8pm.

Better go and clean the house again as Marg arrives tomorrow.

L, I look forward to hearing about Donnie and London.
