Cold Rant
Why is it cold? wtf! The weather is acting like its January or something. Bah.
Cold weather just makes me grouchy, and unable to work properly. What I mean is, it's like 50 degrees in the kitchen! I'll take baking detail just to get a blast of 350 degree heat in my face. That is pathetic.
The reason it is so cold in there is that the vents that keep the ovens from turning the kitchen into a furnace draws in the air from outside. So, we're getting 30 degree air in our kitchen nonstop. I've had to start wearing two shirts just to be able to stand it. This also makes it almost impossible to force myself to go into the walk-in refrigerator or freezer. This is where most of the ingredients that I need are located. Once the bakers are in full gear and the doors are being opened more, the kitchen heats up a little, and I can control my shaking so the afternoons aren't bad at all. It's just the mornings that are horrible. Hopefully the weather starts to behave a little more in the next couple of weeks. I'm such a cold-wimp. ^_^
Tomorrow I work by myself. Since Ed knew this, he set up breakfast for me so all I have to do is proof it and bake it. No problem. Hopefully I'll get out at a decent time as the Gamers (aka Shane, Larcy, Amy, and, of course, Jacob) plus Rebecca are coming over for dinner! ...I think... I have this awesome idea, and wanted to share it with the world! Well, with my friends anyway. Hopefully it works out. : )
