Whew.
Mom is still coming to visit. She did mention that she is too old fashioned and would rather stay in a hotel. That's fine. As long as she's still coming.
She did still sound happy/excited to see me. We made plans to get massages on Saturday, as well as pedicures, and a haircut. (Desperately needed.) We plan on shopping, gabbing over coffee, and cooking together. I'm actually sort of relieved she'll be staying in a hotel nearby. Probably because, though I love my mom to death, I know I can get stressed out by her sometimes and it will be good for us to not spend even our sleeping moments together.
I felt reassured after Amanda told me that her parents, though supportive, still haven't seen her apartment yet either. I guess it's just something us young adult will have to get used to, and something our old fart parents will also have to get used to.
Hopefully, this will be a very lovely weekend, hanging with my momma.
