I just got back from Kruger! It was really fun . I wish we could have spent a week there instead of only 3 days, and less time here in Capetown.  We had to fly to Kruger and it took about 3 hrs, I think it is about the distance from MA to NC or so, so way too far to drive! We rented a car ( eeek.. the steering wheel is on the opposite side!) and drove about an hr. from the airport to the nearest gate ( Kruger is as big as ISRAEL!) We got there, after a firly scary drive ( because of the roads, the steering wheel position, and we were warned that some of the people may lie in the middle of the road to make you stop, etc, then rob you, but nothing happened!) We stayed in the part for 2 nights in bungalos. I thought we were going to stay in tents, but we stayed in these circular huts with beds and bathrooms! I liked it a lot! We are surrounded by electric fences, but we saw a herd of elephants feet away outside the fence. We are the ones cvaged in in Kruger, and the animals roam free! I took so many pictures. I have 13 rolls already, and I'll probably use another roll or 2 before I get home! We went on 2 safaris.. one at 5am and one at 5pm. They last for 3 hours and you go in an open jeep. It was freezing! The sunrise was beautiful though! We saw a lot of animals, but it was harder than I thought. I invisioned animnals everywhere constantly, but you have to drive around for hours at 10-20 mph and search for them... but it was an adventure. Elephants out in the road, a pack of lions feet from out OPEN jeep! It was great!
We also stayed at an inn outside the park ( 20 min or so) the last night called Rissington. It was the nicest paklce I've ever been too. It had a b and b feel, and was gorgeous and had yummy food and amazing scenary! It looks totally different from Capetown, so it was nice to see a different part of Africa!
The weather has been good travelling weather-- about 60-70 eveyrday and not one day of rain yet!
I am trying to find a place to develope my pictrues here because I figured it'll be so much easier ( and I wont have to wait) for clark and cheaper than Walmart, so I'll see if that works out!
We have 3 more days here, ( It is Thurs. at 11:20 am here, so Thurs. at 5:20 am there!) We saw most eveyrhting here ( not much here) but we will be walking around, and shopping and going to some more museums, and then go to London and then home!
I hope everyone is having the time of their lives...
