I had so much fun in England, we saw soo much including the tower of london, the tower bridge, st. paul's cathedral, big bed, westminster, and saw a play at the globe theatre! There is so much more-- we ran about 12-14 hours a day! It was crazy! We got day passes on the Underground ( the subway) everyday, so that worked out! Man, do they have a lot of problems on that, between signal failures, trains breaking down, people getting trapped, and people running along the tracks... stories to tell! I loved london, and when we get back there before we go home we are ( hopefully) going to go to stonehenge and Bath! Oh, and a funny story! On the way to the airport in Boston we were following a limo most of the way and were wondering who was in it because Rick said a red sox player might be, etc, and when they got out at the airport it was the opera singer from Hardwick! And then he went on our flight! He is spending 3 weeks in London and performing there. He invited us to a concert, but we could not find where it was !
We flew into Capetown yesterday. The flight was empty so we all got to lay down! We got in at about 10am ( its only an hour ahead of London... so no adjusting time needed!) We walked around yesterday, bought groceries, and checked in. Today we got up and we to table mountain and went up in a gondola, and we just got back. It is 5:30 pm here, 11am at home for you! It is pretty here! The oceans meet the mountains, but it is polluted and a lot of traffic too. I like the nature though. The sun set in London at about 11pm, but it sets at 6pm here, so we lose a lot of daylight ( and it is not advised to go out after sunset!)
Today I met a man on the mountain ( not to be conmfused with the man in the mountain...hahaha) and he talked to me for about 20 min because his dream is to go to the US. He heard me talking and ran up to me because of my ACCENT. So I talked to him about eveyrhting there is to see!.
