Friday, almost everyone around here had a panic attack, when they heard that Saturday we would have snowfall --- almost upto 12". One can only imagine what the people were upto… in a place like Virginia, where snowfall is not so common and not upto a feet at that.  Grocery stores were packed with people.  For a single day of snowfall - tsk! tsk!!

Just 10 minutes after I came home yesterday, we had our first snowfall of this winter.  I have a love-hate relationship with snow.  Love to sit in the warmth of our house with a cup of tea and watch the flurries come down but hate to drive.  I especially hate the clothing layer that I have to adorn before stepping out.  Watching the flurries come ( Read more... )

Today was Elsa's (My Irish Setter)first day out in the snow. In fact this is the first snowfall we have seen this year. Was so funny to see her treading with care - unsure of what the white stuff all around was. Fortunately she had her sweater on and i was also packed up. So we managed to play in the snow a bit.
