Haven't posted in quite a while, have been awfully busy / tired. Today is only a Thursday but it feels like the end of a terribly long week.
Speech Day today, I think this is the first one I've ever (sort of) attended, was absolutely blown away by the extravagance of the whole event. The mere variety of the food displayed was enough to make me go 0.o, what's more the elaborate decorations, the waitressing and etc lol. Just look that the amount of food we had left over -
Qianhui and Reg, who looks more like an eskimo? Haha
And here's Polka Dot happily eating some treat my mum gave him. Yes he's still very much alive, even though my dad nearly murdered him last week. He took the hamster cage out cos he claimed Polka Dot would benefit from some sun, and promptly forgot about it auntil a few hours later. BY WHICH polka dot was already drenched in sweat and NOT MOVING AT ALL. I wasnt at home then. But according to my mum, dad was desperately trying to revive it by fanning it or something lol. Luckily it is such a sturdy hamster haha, so far it has survived at least 2 attempts on its life now, once by aunt and now my dad.
Mr Sng talked to us about the 90/10 principle by Stephen Covey. "10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90% of life is decided by how you react." It really is pretty true. But I guess agreeing with the principle and applying the principle are two vastly different things.
Long weekend, I intend to recharge. And it shall last me until the end of term.
