Had an eventful weekend! Went to watch 'Internal' with Charlene.
The synopsis of the show: “Five actors meet five audience members in person at a speed-date … But as they share their surprisingly personal stories, build up a charming atmosphere of confidentiality and intimacy, and you offer your own in return, be prepared to start questioning yourself and what impression you want to give to the actor that you may very well fall in love with.”
We read up on overseas reviews before going and some scared us a little lol. So we were a little nervous before the play but pretty excited / curious because we didn't know what was going to happen!
Took a pic before the play and right after that the earlier group of audience walked out. One of them ( a guy), gave us a very traumatized look as if to say - omg that was terrible i shouldnt have went in!! =/ But the rest (females) looked perfectly fine lol
Shan't give any spoilers here just in case anybody wants to go. But have got to say, Advanced course of AW really prepared us for stuff like this lol. As Charlene aptly puts it - 'nothing can be worse than Advanced la!'
It's amazing how the five actors/actresses, randomly paired with 5 people, can create very different results. Or should I say, we, as the audience, created the result? I really think it is the latter. A unique play which left some people wonder struck, others deeply disturbed, and as for me, grateful.
After the play - reading the letters sent by the actors/actresses to the audiences from all over the world. Can't wait for mine to come!
Ate at Rock & Ash @ Marina Square cos I had cravings for fries! It has some interesting dips so I chose Zesty Lemon. Super sour, too sour for my liking lol. Wh's baked rice was not fantastic but he reckons the burgers should be good (cos it looks good on the menu lol) so we'll be going back soon! Nice place to chill too cos the was hardly any crowd.
Night view at Tanjong Rhu =] Gonna miss the place when Wh moves to Kembangan. But the plus point is that our houses will be even nearer!
Sunday = packing his room! Found some treasures haha. The first 2 treasures made me go awwwwww. I gave him the 2 soft toys when we were in sec 1/ sec 2, back then my gifts-selection skill was horrible huh haha. Glad to say that it has improved. But still happy that he kept it after all this while =]=]
And the 3rd one made us literally LOLed. I kid you not!! Tzuhsiang drew the picture in sec 1 when she was his classmate and barely even knew me hahahaaa. Tzuhsiang we are keeping the drawings!
Played with Leiya & Zejun when I got home! Leiya's vocab is increasing every week and she's talking almost nonstop now. She keeps telling me to 'wait ah!' when I ask her to make me some watermelon juice hahaa. So adorable!!!!!!
Leiya's version of hide & seek is hilarious. She drags her ahgong to a 'hiding place', asks him to 'STAY!!', then goes to a corner to count from 1-10 before 'searching' for him haha.
And this is Zejun trying to free himself from my papa's hairy legs! He doesnt speak much but entertains us with his antics eg trying to do flips / balance on his head 0.o He likes to walk on his toes too! A gymnast/ballet dancer in the making I say.
Ok gotta go for work! Gonna do a recce at ann siang area for a religious trail!
