(no subject)
Okay, this is on the subject of the whole "who is going to play Kurt's love interest on Glee" speculation/spoilers whatever.
I haven't really been on the glee comms/lj in general lately so I don't know how much this has been discussed and I'm probably not saying anything new but oh well.
Now, I'm seeing a lot of opinions that are for Sam/Kurt over Kurt/Blaine. Which is just fine... but I only wish we could at least see them actually interact with Kurt, and get to know them as characters before saying how one pairing works while the other doesn't. I mean for goodness sake, Blaine/Darren Criss hasn't even arrived yet. First of all, I'm not buying the whole "It's a cliche", "Kurt 2.0" argument until we actually see him. Feel free to correct me, but I haven't read any spoilers to suggest Blaine is just like Kurt. Second, kind of hard to tell whether Sam and Kurt even have chemistry unless someone has already seen the new episode coming up. I have however seen the sneak preview with Sam and Quinn and I can definitely say that imo they're pretty damn cute (still love my Quick though and probably wouldn't miss Sam at all if he left).
I know the Puck/Kurt craze is ridiculously huge for such little interaction, but shit, at least Puck and Kurt actually had interaction and it seemed maybe in the beginning there would be more moments between them (maybe not of the "gay for you" variety, but some growth?). Alas, we got jack, they've hardly even looked at each other and I've since moved on to Quinn and Puck (not that you should too, this is just me of course.)
It's too bad a lot of us got all hyped up for Sam/Kurt when the spoilers about that first arrived, now there's all this mixed information. I just can't wait for the storyline to actually happen, whatever happens, then it all can be put to rest.
Another thing I can say for sure is I am looking forward to seeing Darren Criss. I'm not familiar with him, but seeing his pictures post-haircut and watching the few interviews I can find, he's cute, seems likable and I think he could be a nice addition to the show. However long he'll be on. I'm more excited for Blaine than Sam's arrival. Then again, I'm not really feeling Chord Overstreet, to be honest.
