Christmas break?
So, its Christmas break! Yay! I feel like the break this year is really short and that's kind of sad. Anyway, it's been pretty good so far.
For the last week of school, Veronica kind of just lived at my house for no reason at all except that we had detention everyday but Thursday and its mad early and there was no way either of us would have gotten up for it. That was, of course, much fun. On Thursday school was a couple of hours long. We went in, had a TA breakfast (Veronica and I were late for school, even though it started at 9 and we had just served detentions for being late to school) and then we had the concert. Sam, Marena and Chelsea informed me that they didn't want to do their solo, so I was the only one doing one. But I wasn't going to say, "Hey, let's not do it," because that would have been really unfair to the orchestra who spent time learning that song. It really sucks that our Christmas concert was cancelled because of that snow day. Anyway, that all went well even though I made up some of the words. My mommy video taped. I should put Merry Christmas Around the World on facebook. =)
After the concert, Jennie and I had our much awaited baking time! We made brownies, cake and a shitload of cookies. Pretty much we were baking from 12-5:30. And we were reminiscing about Beauty and the Beast and listening to it off my ipod while baking. Then we decided to watch the DVD. =) And realized how much we miss all those seniors from last year. =(
Yesterday I went to see Sweeney Todd. That was really good. (I won't go into detail, because I don't want to ruin for Casey, although it probably wouldn't ruin it for you anyway). Moooving on. I had to bring Emmy to Keating's party after she got home from work, but I beat her home and hung out with her parents for an hour because I'm mega-cool like that.
EMMY GOT INTO COLLEGE!! (I'm totally jealous.)
Well, Emmy and I went to Keating's and Nina, Jess, and Chris were there which was awesome because I haven't seen those guys in FOREVER. But they left after a little while. Emmy and I took 100s of pictures on Keating's mac and we're waiting for her to find them. Haha. But after the old seniors left, Emmy and I knew like... no one there. So, we left and went to get ice cream at Goody Basset's and see Paolo. =)
This morning my dad woke me up at SEVEN O'CLOCK. 7:00!!!!!!!! To go get a Christmas tree. And we're driving around and lo and behold! No Christmas tree places are OPEN YET. But we did get one. And a pretty wreath. And my dad told me about my grandma and how she was an orphan at 9 during the Depression and how her and my grandpa met and eloped after he graduated from high school (she was a year or two older than him). It sounds so cute ^^. But, pretty much, I didn't know any of this.
I guess I'm going to see National Treasure 2 with Sarge and others later today. I have to see if I have the first one so I can remember how it ended.
