Here is part two of my ER final season picspam
I was somewhat on the fence about this episode. I liked the concept, but it got to be a bit too confusing, I'm still not entirely sure what all occurred! Anyway, didn't care for the Neela and Brenner scenes. Have I mentioned how much I can't stand them together? Well, for the record, I can't stand them together. We all know Ray is her soulmate.
I enjoyed this episode. Sam's little digs at Daria were pretty good. She knew what happened between her and Tony and was going to torture Daria with it. This episode really did show how much Sam and Tony want to be together, but just can't get past some things. Hopefully, they'll have a happy ending. Ugh, why are they torturing me with the Neela/Breener relationship?
Even though I never really felt a strong like for William H. Macy's character, it was good to see him again. He just looked so much older than I remembered him! I guess I have to consider this show has spanned 15 years! I thought the way the old man saw the ER as if it were from the '60's was very interesting. I liked the little flashbacks, they added a fun touch to the episode.
Archie Morris in a superhero uniform, pretty much sums up the episode! That part was hilarious. It amazes me how much I can't stand Breener with Neela, but the rest of the time he's amazing in this episode. Also, the little girl and her mom were just heartbreaking! That girl is such a good little actress.
This episode was really emotional for me. Yeah, I was crying when I saw the title. It just said it all. Yay Dr. Carter is back! It finally feels like ER again. All be it, a very strange ER. It really bugged me that practically no one knew him. I mean, he's Dr. John Carter people! How could they not know?! I did enjoy Tony's little Dr. Ross/Nurse Hathaway reference to him, "Hey are you the one that got that nurse pregant and moved to Seattle?" "No, that was somebody else." Best line in a while! Also, Jerry was hiliarious after he drank that 'love potion' "Hey John, you look great in those jeans." I was laughing so hard at that one! Oh, hello Ray, you just keep making yourself known. The final scene made me cry as well. You just knew something was really wrong, something bad.
Ugh, these titles are killing me! Overall, great, solid performances from everyone involved. John Carter is back working in the ER! However, we do find out he's in desperate need of a kidney. Sam must deal with her estranged mother whom she hasn't seen in 15 years, since her mom kicked her out after she got pregnant with Alex. I must say, even though the mom is sick, I don't like her at all! Also, a good performance for Breener.
They just get more amazing the closer we get to the end! Loved Frank and Jerry's little documentary. They're so great together. I freaked out when Carter passed out and almost died! It's not like ER hasn't ever killed off a main character before. I just knew they couldn't do that to him though. That and he still had a couple episodes left to appear in! I was really sad for Morris in this one, you could really see how much he loves Claudia.
I knew they'd be back! I just knew it. It wouldn't of been right had they not come back. Julianna Marguiles and George Clooney have such great chemistry. It was like they hadn't missed a beat, much less 10 years! I really wanted to see these twins, but oh well, I think we're lucky we got what we did! It was great that Eriq La Salle returned as well. I knew he had to be there during Carter's kidney transplant. And it's a good thing he was there! I thought it was interesting how all the originals were connected even though they never really all came together. If it hadn't been for Carol and Doug, Carter wouldn't have gotten his kidney. The last scene was amazing.
Neela's last episode. That freaking wall made me cry again! I was really mad when Breener showed up at the airport, I just figured that would ruin everything. I usually can't stand their scenes together, but these were really good. Very sweet and touching. Yay for the minute of Abby (I hope that isn't the last of her we see!) Neela's face in the elevator with that old man was hilarious! Poor Parminder, in all those bulky coats, you could totally tell she's pregnant! Ah, the last scene, the moment I waited all season for. Neela and Ray!! While I enjoyed the last scene, I wanted more! (I hope we get more!) I'm still not clear on some stuff, I'm assuming she left County because she chose Ray and wanted to start their lives together. His line was great, "Finally, you're here." Yes, finally. (However, after 4 years and countless close calls, you'd think they could've given us a damn kiss!) I guessing a more difinative answer to them will be given over the last two episodes.
Well, comment, discuss, enjoy and be on the look out for the final two parts during the next two weeks!
