[This week's One Piece = SO VERY GOOD. FRANKY. ROBIN. BROOK. OMG ILU.]

Recent Kaiser Chiefs kick caused me to start exploring the Indie Music Scene. So recs!

Stars: They do electronica but I've been gravitating towards that genre lately. They make techno sound pretty when it's always seemed harsh and jarring to me. And there's something subtle, ( Read more... )

I like my pop rock noisy :D And you know, happy.

Oo, if you like Stars, you should check out The Postal Service. As for soft music, maybe Papercuts?

Any recs?

I like The Format, The Hush Sound and Augustana.
Soft piano rock. <3

(of course, I also like P!ATD a lot but they are getting a bit too mainstream-y. So I'm officially a closet fan, haha)

Have you heard Tegan and Sara? They have a very cool sound. Liz Phair too. edgy lyrics.

Ah Augustana makes me drowsy. Haven't heard The Hush Sound but I do like The Format ('w')

[LOL P!ATD. So embarrassing to like them nowadays huh? I totally understand, since I like MCR and AARejects.]

Nope. Liz Phair yeah. But I'm not into female rockers. They tend to crash [coughAvrilcough]. I prefer my female singers all unearthly and ethereal sounding...Hm, am I being prejudiced?

Heyy I like AARejects too!

Do you have a last.fm? Mine is quite inaccurate since I do most of my listening away from the computer and it's not logged. At one point in time they couldn't match people with "similar" taste cause I have a strange mix of genres/artists in my library. haha it's fun confounding the computer systems (surefire way - listen to bollywood and cpop alternately, then mix in some korean).

Come to think of it I have pretty mainstream rock taste really... >_< The mainstream people come up with catchy songs.

Nope, no last.fm. Not even very sure of what its about, actually.

[I basically stick to jap and english music. Most accessible. Plus, the Chinese scene seems flooded with bland pop-ish stuff...it's just so uninteresting.]

IAWYC. I'm a huge sucker for boyband-ish pop rock/power pop! [Click 5, McFly, OK Go etc] They're all so adorkable.

you know what? i just realised TO MY HORROR that in clearing out my music library of songs I don't listen to, I accidendally deleted Janne da Arc's Kasumiyuku Sora Se Ni Shite. Which is my favourite.

Is there any chance you might have it? gmail it pretty please! (feel free to request anything off me :3)

What's IAWYC? hm.. yeah but OK GO is still loud!

Agree that cpop is boring, I always end up listening to the same few nice ones. My sis is way into the whole Taiwanese Boyband thing though. You'd never tell.

Sure. No Probs.

IAWYC= I agree with you completely. OK Go is fun! Watch their 'Here it goes again' MV on youtube. You'll love them, I promise. No one can resist it.

I listen to Mayday, Jay Chou and Jeff Zhang. That's about it. Your sis, really? At least she'll have more hope of seeing her fav band live than we do D:
