It was cold this weekend and I can't build a fire yet, so I spent even more time than usual in my host family's main house trying to communicate with the granddaughters (the grandson is pre-verbal, but he smiles a lot). Oh i saw this great guide book where it is just full of pictures of food and such so you can just point at things. can track it down for you. Car not as broken as predicted, apparently on closer inspection the head gasket is fine and just a few things needed fixing. whatever. I am going to look for my own car, can always sell it if my new job gives me a car.

I did find something like OJ (I'm guessing only 20% fruit, but there was real pulp, which is worth a lot). It turns out "cookies" in MNG are pretty bland.
