I've had a very weird month, but I think I'm coming out of it.
Got the internship at Daybreak and CANNOT wait to start. I don't think Domestic Violence is where I'd like to stay, but nevertheless I think it'll be a really important experience...and it's not like Domestic Violence is something I'm NOT passionate about.
I just made the best mix cd....possibly ever. Ray Lamontagne, Prince, TLC, Citizen Cope, Sarah Harmer, Iron and Wine,Tom Petty, Rachel Yamagata....it's pretty all over the place, but works.
Classes are wonderful. It's weird how much I like school. It never really feels like work.
I've been reading non-stop. Stuck in the middle of: The Tao of Pooh (re-reading because I love it), Trinity, The Prophet, The Complete Works of Sara Cain, and two anthologies, one of Marilyn Hacker and one of Lucille Clifton. Lovely.
Kayla's in a new house. Erika's baby is coming on the third.....
and what did I do last night. Went to the Dive, drank three DELICIOUS beers, danced until I dropped and ate a tofu sausage with onions and peppers...our lives are in such different places it's ridiculous.
