...once i get Acrobat back on my recently-resuscitated laptop, i'll be posting about the whole brouhaha* regarding the horribly written Washington Post article that discusses new federal guidelines about women's healthcare. The short version is, it looks like the Washington Post used the term "pre-pregnancy" in a fairly inflammatory article on a fairly mundane CDC report. The long version involves journalistic standards, the weird intersection of public health and Utilitarianism, and why i still think it's a good idea to get plenty of folic acid. There may also be some form of STD involved, although i won't be sure till i actually pound out my thoughts. But first, so that i can talk about what the CDC actually said, i need to a)finish my homework and b)install Acrobat.

*as opposed to the Brujah-ha i've always wanted...
