First, a bit of school ranting. I'm in the middle of a pretty lousy situation with a clinical instructor, and Surly's kind of afraid that my colleagues and i have made it worse by trying to make it better, and i'm hoping he's not right. But basically we've got a clinical instructor who's loaded us up with a whole crapload of work and who won't listen to us when we try to negotiate with her. So we're taking it up with the head of the department. This will probably end poorly, but things with the nursing school usually do.
Educator types--well hell, i'll just post another entry about the whole thing and put it behind a cut so people who don't care don't have to read it. I'd like some advice, though, as things are definitely tricksy right now.
Other than that, though, i've been busy playing school nurse at the school where i went to 4th and 5th grades. Kinda weird...i think they've lowered the ceilings. (;
In other, better news, Surly and i made it out to the Strawberry Festival today. We managed to take something like 250 pictures of people while we were there. I haven't gone and looked yet--i think i'm going to institute a 24-hour waiting period on all of my pictures--but i think we managed to get some good shots. We were definitely playing games with the weather--these big puffy pre-storm clouds were blowing overhead and so the light would go from super-sunny to grey and icky and back again rather quickly and without warning. I know we got at least one shot of things lit up all bright by the sun with a sky that looks all dark and scary and foreboding. Then we went up to the top of the 4th Street parking garage to get some good dramatic sky pictures, but got up there just in time to watch the storm sweep over downtown.
Finally, i don't know about any of you, but i've been enjoying the hell out of today's weather. It sure beats the constant rain we were having. Plus, yay storms!1 (: Of course, i don't have to walk around in it...
Okay. Off to tackle the ginormous pile of homework in front of me.
