Miracle Day 4x07
Ooh, oooh I really liked that one even though it was Jack centered. I just like a good character driven episode, which this was, and there were mentions to the Doctor, and the focus was on how Jack meets people and then fucks up their entire life and basically the whole time I was just like YESSS BRING IT TELL ME MORE.
I was so unimpressed by Jack's refusal to martyr himself for Gwen's family, though. WHAT THE HELL, JACK. YOU ARE LIKE FIVE THOUSAND YEARS OLD AND YOUR OTHER CHOICE IS TO BECOME A GIANT FACE IN A BOWL. Sry2say, but your life is worth way less than Gwen's bb girl.
When he was all tearfully talking about how he didn't want to die, I was basically like:
Hey Jack, remember that TVD episode when Stefan Salvatore tried to martyr himself for Elena's aunt? I KNOW YOU TUNED IN FOR THAT. Be more like Stefan next time.
Also did I finally spy some aliens in this episode?? I think we did. THAT IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR. I'm also intrigued by this whole Angelo/three guys/vials of Jack's blood thing. Could Miracle Day be all Jack's fault? I am sure it is both possible and likely.
Oh oh! It also made me laugh when Jack was all starry eyed and hopeful that he could have a ~companion~ JUST LIKE THE DOCTOR!! except then unlike the Doctor he was terrible at it and his companion got sent to jail and then tied him up and stabbed and killed him repeatedly. lol good job, Jack.
Gwen Cooper continues to be flawless forever.
