Injured Marine Drive - 1 donation - a box of clothes at the office; flyers are working - 'tis good!
Ok, I messed up. I wasn't that successful getting to the Newcomers meeting last night. I copied down the direction just fine. But when I left to come to the meeting, I picked up the wrong set of directions.
I figured this out after I was already in Sterling. I drove around in circles trying to find Lady Marsaili's house from what I remembered writing down, but I guess my memory is not what it use to be. (OK, to be honest my memory hasn't always been that good.)
I did make it to Lady Millicent Chandler house prior to the realization that I had the wrong set of directions. She was able to loan me the barbette and fillet as well as stockings and some feast gear. She and her Hubbyfink gave me lots of ideas of things that I currently own that would make do for the tournament. MelanieSuzanne reminded me that this is not "living history" so it's Ok to go and have fun, and no one will chastise me if things are 100% historically correct.
I did pick up some heart-shaped pearl buttons at the fabric store. If there is time I would love to add them to my garb. Anyway, I am real excited about tomorrow's event. Now I need to go practice my choir pieces for the tournament.
