So, being that I was too damn lazy to do much more today than crawl out of bed and shower today...I had to get creative with dinner. Now I'm really going to have to go grocery shopping tomorrow.
I made a version of the Sweet Cabbage Stir Fry that's one of my favorite dishes. It's actually a lot more appetizing than it looks.
There aren't really many measurements, I was pretty much chopping up whatever I had on hand and throwing it in the wok.
I chopped up an onion and crushed a couple cloves of garlic and cooked in olive oil
then tossed in:
somewhere between a third and a half head of savoy cabbage
some leftover pineapple chunks and the liquid
some slivered almonds
a head of broccoli
a bag of frozen mixed vegetables
a few tablespoons of cider vinegar
let it all cook up for about seven minutes and....yum.
I spent most of the day trying to find the gift certificate I got for my birthday for a massage at massage envy, find it. Honestly, I think I spent about an hour looking, and then about seven hours moaning to the dogs about my inability to find it, and how much by neck and back hurt. I blame this all on ten million years of dance and cheerleading.
Okay, maybe not the dance, but definitely the cheerleading. Right now I'm living on aspercreme and sneaking some of my step-dad's pain pills. I should go back to the doctor, but usually my yoga routine keeps everything in check. In this personal episode of what makes Courtney crazy....
I'm not really a fan of doctors or traditional medicine (which I say through a haze of vicodin infused pain relief, chased down by two shots of vodka...i know, the pot calling the kettle back) mostly because way back when I broke my leg and had to get surgery and it sort of ruined all my dancing aspirations...anyways, it was a long time ago, and in most circumstances I prefer to go with non-traditional medicine.
Like liquor, apparently.
Argh.
I'm probably going to crawl into bed and watch Teen Wolf.
