Weird, how things fall into place sometimes

I've been applying for more jobs, and stressing a bit, and going slightly stir crazy from working only 3 or 4 days a week, and wondering how I have managed to make it this deeply into life without more marketable skills.  Then this morning, totally out of the blue, my old temp agency called me up and asked me if I was interested in any proofreading work.  I figured sure, what the hell.  So I gave them my availability and said sign me up.

It's kind of perfect, really - I can still put my actual career first, and turn down work as necessary and know that they'll still call me.  And kind of flattering that 2 years after I told them I was no longer available, they still want me to work for them.  Still, it somehow feels like a cop-out, like I'm giving up (at least in part) on everything I've been working for.  But it will be temporary, just until things pick up again in massage land.  I had decided to wait on applying for the teaching thing until next semester, so that remains a possibility.  And if I should get another job in the meantime, it's easy to quit temping again.

Funny how hard I'm working to justify this to myself.

life universe etc, massage
