I hate this RL shit.
Seriously, I'm going back to staying home and extracting Fallout 3 meshes.
I'm aware I'm following a bandwagon here, but what the hell. I got to thinking about the
previously identified lack of post-apocalyptic neighbourhood deco though, and decided to extract some buildings (I was altogether too chuffed when I discovered how to extract anything, to be honest). Apologies for terrible pictures.
At the moment there's more small, cluttery things than actual big buildings that you could really use to bulk things out. The problem is that alot of the buildings, like the Vault Tech HQ up there, only exist as backdrops, so are 'empty' from the back. I don't really have the familiarity with milkshape to flesh them out properly (I'm sort of limited to scaling/resizing).
I have pretty much sorted the regrouping/UV mapping issues I was having though (probably in the least efficient, messiest way possible, but still).
... Fuck off LJ, 'neighbourhood' is a perfectly valid spelling.
