There were jokes about having Daniel wear body glitter. I am very scared.

Two to three weeks without my own computer/internet seemed like a fairly short time, until I was in the middle of it. I don't think my computer has shipped yet, let alone on its way here. Blah. It's bad enough that I have to use my in-laws' computer for internet, but now they only have one phone line so I have to wait hours for them to get off of it because they're on the landline ALL THE TIME. I swear they're the only people I know that still do that. aklshggh

Anyway, in the meantime I've been doing other random activities that so far include finishing TWO video games (Dragon Age and Uncharted 2) and 2 1/3-ish books (the latest Wheel of Time book, Her Fearful Symmetry and I'm 300 pages into the first book of A Song of Ice and Fire.) And a whole bunch of TV shows and movies. *sigh*

On the note of finishing books though, I'll say a little something about Her Fearful Symmetry. I went into it hopeful that it would be as amazing as the author's first book, The Time Traveler's Wife. Alas, it was not so. In fact, it took me about a month to get through the first few chapters, so little did I care about the characters and what happened to them. But recently in about two sittings I finished the rest of the book, and the plot did get more interesting and *some* of the characters more compelling. It's a decent book, neither bad nor superb. Probably more worth borrowing from the library or a paperback purchase, in my opinion.

Ummm, also apparently on Tuesday a whole bunch of the ladies that Daniel's mom has lunch with at work are going to see New Moon and roped Daniel into going along with them. They're apparently rather obsessed. Let me tell you, there's not a lot of things weirder than hearing my mother-in-law declare "I think I'm Team Edward." o_O I don't think she knows any more about the books than from listening to her friends talk about them, but yeah. Really bizarre.

Oh, and I've decided that I'm going too. :X The trainwreck that is Edward and Bella's interactions (and RPattz's hair) will never not be hilarious to me. plus Taylor Lautner isn't entirely unpleasant to look at...seriously Bella, you choose cold-marble Edward over that? So, um, that should be entertaining.
