Part 10 of the CAA Fanfic - Are we there yet?

Part 10:

Author's notes: A day late and a dollar short, but hey, at least I posted it. XD
This chapter took more planning than I thought it would. Mostly because I had to read up on a certain troll.
When I first started the fic, I had a rather hard time trying to come up with Nate's kidnapper (I'm sure you're all wondering who it is. (or not) XDD;). In the end, I decided to take the idea from a semi recent event and the mystery that surrounded it.
After reading up on this particular troll, I realized that I've seen some messed up people, but this guy's up there in the top ten, I'm sure.

Here's another silly/interesting tidbit. When I was thinking of the "technology" of the main villain, I was sorely tempted to make it so he would be able to trap people in yu-gi-oh cards. But then I realized how cheesy that was, so the idea was dropped.   XD;

This chapter was just getting the (final) ball rolling in a certain direction and hopefully, it won't stop until the finale.

As always, comments, criticism, and spelling/sentence corrections are welcome. ^_^

After Lucky's leg was bandaged, Ark left her sitting on the couch while he went to the kitchen to wash the blood from his hands. As he finished and started heading back to the living room, Ark heard a small tapping noise coming from the kitchen floor. The tapping grew louder and soon changed into a rough cutting noise, then with a large crash, part of the kitchen floor burst open. A man stuck his head up through the newly made hole and looked around."This looks right." the man commented happily as he started climbing out of the hole.
"Bradley? What the heck?" Ark was taken aback, mostly because his kitchen floor was now ruined.
"Oh, hey Ark." Bradley(who is also known as Roy Mustang) said as he dusted himself off. He then spotted another plate of sandwiches on the counter, "Ooo, sandwiches." he grabbed for one.
Ark looked sadly at the demolished kitchen floor, "You are so paying for this...hey, what are you doing here anyways? Shooby said you were off doing something else?"
Roy took a bite out of one of the sandwiches, "I was, but I made good time getting it done. Plus, I wouldn't miss a war room meeting. Especially if I knew you were making sandwiches." he took another bite and strolled towards the war room doors, passing Lucky, who was limping slowly to the war room.
"Hey, sit back down!" Ark rushed towards her, supporting her on his shoulder.
"I'm fine," Lucky answered, smiling, "My leg will heal soon. Besides, I need to help everyone." She continued into the war room, almost dragging Ark along with her.
"Okay, but just be extra careful." he conceded defeat, "And don't push yourself." Ark helped Lucky to an empty seat by UC, who was sipping tea quietly while the rest of the room was filled with chattering. Roy had already taken an empty seat by Goldy.
Ark sat at the head of the table and pulled out a large notepad, "Okay, people, without any further interruptions," he shot glances at Roy and UC, "we can get started. What do we know?"
Goldy started, "I took the three copies of the hostage letters to the old base and had Chatty analyze them." she pulled out the three copies of the letters and laid them on the table, "We also have all two of our missing members back, safe and sound." she nodded to Fish and Corrie.
"Nate is safe as well," Lucky added, "Shooby found him with a head injury, but he's in stable condition."
"Good," Goldy felt a bit more relieved, "Now, we know Fish's kidnapper was Toonman, since we had a run in with him outside the old base while he was trying to capture both Fish and Peanut."
"And Luneth was Corrie's kidnapper." Rushia spoke up.
"Luneth? Seriously? I didn't think he was capable of that..." Goldy added with disbelief.
"Which leads us to the next topic," Corrie commented, "Luneth had a weird earpiece that made him not only speak in better English, but it made him more powerful."
"Toonman didn't have anything like that..." Peanut said, with a hint of curiosity in his voice.
"But Oro did!" Lucky sat up straight in her chair, cringing a bit because the sudden movement had jolted her leg wound.
"Oro?" Goldy's eyes widened.
"Okay," Ark was writing quickly on his notepad, "So far, we have Luneth, Toonman, and Oro."
"And whoever Luneth referred to as 'master'." Corrie noted.
"And another thing," Goldy continued, "the letters were all on paper from either Ireland or Norway."
"That does narrow it down; a bit." Ark looked as his notes again, "This does leave us with many questions though. For example, who exactly was Nate's kidnapper?"

Nate had walked for what seemed like several hours when he finally saw a small light waving back and forth in the distance. Nate stopped, hoping the light was from the two who were supposed to meet him and not someone else.
As the light got closer, a voice called out, "Who goes there?"
Nate didn't see the harm in answering, after all, it's not like he could turn back now, "It's Nate!" he called back.
"Seriously?" the voice, which sounded like that of a teenage boy, said, "I thought for sure it would take us longer to meet up with him. I don't know about this..." the boy now seemed to be talking to someone else.
"It's him, don't worry, Tali. I recognize his voice." another voice broke the silence, it was a young women's.
"Wait; Tali?" Nate started walking forward to the voices and soon could make out the figures of two people.
"Whatever you say, Pere, but I'm still thinking he could be an imposter. You never know these days." the boy (Tali) replied.
Nate finally came close enough to see the two people rather clearly (at least as clear one could expect in a dark sewer with only one flashlight and a GPS to light the way).
"Tali and Pere? You two are the last people I expected to see." Nate was surprised, but relieved to see the brother and sister duo standing before him.
"Tali, you can put your blaster away now." Pere said as Nate saw that Tali was pointing a sci-fi looking gun at him. "It's good to see you again, Nate."
"Yeah, long time no see." Nate replied.
"Anyways, let's get a move on, troops, the smell down here is killing me." Tali replied as he grabbed both Pere and Nate and dragged them down the path with him.

The old base was pitch black and silent inside. Not even the hum of the computers was heard. Then, a small beep broke the silence, then another one. And they continued in a pattern of what heart beats would be like. A few short seconds after, along with the steady beeping, there was the sound of clanking metal and the whirring of eletronics.
The emergency lights came back on.
On the desk where the main computer screen use to be, instead, there stood a two foot tall little humanoid robot, with a little square screen for a face. The screen blinked on to reveal a little emoticon face (^_^).
"D-did it work? (o_o)" the little robot said, with a familiar little girl voice.
The robot looked at itself and flexed its arms and legs and with a little squeal of delight, it jumped up and did a few flips before landed perfectly back on the desk.
"It did work! It did work! I knew it would! Daddy is a genius! (^_^9)" the little robot replied happily to herself. She jumped off the table and headed to the teleport.
"Now, to finish the plan! (*o*/)" she exclaimed triumphantly and teleported away.

"So, are we going to walk the whole way?" Nate asked after they had been walking for a good ten minutes.
"Of course not." Tali replied proudly, "In fact...ah, there they are!" he rushed forward to two shadows which were revealed to be motor bikes. Tali and Pere got on one and Nate got on the other and both sped away down the tunnel.

"Moving on, what are we going to do about all of this?" Fish spoke up for the first time in the meeting.
"There's not much we can do. We don't know where all these little strings come together in a central knot." Ark replied.
"Well, we can always wait for them to tell us where they are." Corrie suggested.
"What do you mean?" Phil, who was sitting by Fish, asked.
"While trolls do like to be sneaky, they alse like to make the biggest and most public impact that they can, therefore, we will find out soon enough who's behind this and where they are." Corrie replied with a smile.
"I don't know, that seems a little far fet-" Phil was cut off by the sound of the war room's video phone ringing.
Everyone in the room froze and looked at each other. Ark pressed a few buttons and a mid air screen appeared in the middle of the table. On the screen, there was someone most of the alliance members expected to see.
"Ah yes, in Ireland, of course." Goldy said dryly.
"See, I told you?" Corrie rolled her eyes.
"MoonRockDragon." Rushia sighed.
"Don't tell me he's behind all this?" Ark stared in disbelief at the screen.
The figure of MoonRock on the screen shifted slightly and he smiled, "Oh good, I'm glad you remember me. That will save me the trouble or introducing myself. But, to the point." the screen flashed from MoonRock to someone tied up, it looked like...
"Jaden!?" Goldy exclaimed.
"Yes, I have your little friend here and if my demands are not met, he will die." Moon's voice continued.
"But first, question time." Corrie spoke up and on hearing her voice, Moon cringed, "You can't possibly be the mastermind behind all this. You're too naive. Who really is in charge?"
Moon came back on screen and shivered, as if trying to shake something off, "Oh no, I'm the one in charge, but you wouldn't believe that, of course, because you're all too stupid." Moon did not receive a response from this comment like he hoped, so he continued, "I only wanted to be accepted, but no; you all had to ruin it. I even gave you the cute, naive act, but you heartless fools still threw me out. I won't be ignored anymore, though. Oh no, you'll see my true power and you will bow before me."
"You gotta be kidding me." Jamie spat back.
"On the contrary, I'm quite serious. Now, for the demands." Moon pulled out a piece of paper, "I'm assuming you already know about our teleport systems and how we can control your pathetic microchips by knowing the IP number of a member. Therefore," Moon flipped the piece of paper over, "I would like the IP numbers of RadicalDreamer (known as the Grammar Ranger/Corrie) LadyRushia (known as Rushia), and Goldenspines (known as Goldy). Otherwise, your friend will die." the screen flashed back to a tied up Jaden. "You have three minutes to send them via this secure email. Bye." the screen disappear and the room was left in a deafening silence.

"My GPS says we're almost to Oklahoma!" Nate called from his own motorbike behind Tali and Pere's motorbike.
"Awesome!" Pere called back, but just as she did, Tali slammed on his brakes, as did Nate when they both spotted something or someone ahead of them standing on a large hovering platform above the sewer river.
"Ah, perfect timing!" the figure on the platform exclaimed, "It's good to see you again, Nate. You were the last person who cared to talk to me before I was throw out for good."
"What the heck?" Nate stared at the figure, "You wouldn't be, no, oh god, not you."
"This is a cruel world, indeed." the figure continued in a rather dramatic voice, "No one understands me. I thought if I kidnapped you, that you may understand and join my cause. But even after that failure, fate has been kind to me and here you are!" the figure smiled.
"Get out of our way, you freak!" Nate yelled back at the figure.
"Now now, don't make me sad again. Does no one have a heart anymore?" the figure frowned.
"Don't even start with me, Jon Clement." Nate spat back, "Why couldn't you just disappear with your weirdness..."
"Well, enough talk." Jon waved his hand, "I don't know who these two children are with you, but they can come along and join us too, I suppose."
"Children!?" Tali had built up enough annoyance to speak up, "I'll make you regret that!" he pulled out his blaster and pointed it at Jon Clement.
"Oh, I wouldn't do that if I were you." Jon smile as he held out his hand to show what he was holding.
"Is that a..." Pere started.
"Yes, it's a grenade, with the pin pulled out. And if you shoot me, I will drop this and we will all die in the explosion down here." Jon smiled evily again, "Now, come with me."
