katie and i are going down to margate on the 30th, you should come! basically they are filming scenes from the exodus for this amazing new film and antony gormley is going to build a 25 metre high rubbish man and it's gonna get burned... at dreamland funfair, my favourite place as a kid. the pharoah is going to make an election speech by the clocktower, in front of flamingoes amusement arcade and moses is going to warn us all too! then we're going to a free concert to watch the cast sing songs written by people like stephin merritt, rufus wainwright, brian eno, the tiger lillies, laurie anderson etc. i really think it will be a great trip to the seaside and be part of this great art/film project in the perfect place to explore indentity, tolerance &social equality. we can eat 99s, get chips,walk along the harbour wall and get splased by the harsh cold north sea. we can sit on the beach in the freezing cold and at night i can show you the pissed off neon sea creatures splash against the rock pools. we can catch crabs and sit in a trash cafe or buy poppers & fake poo in a can from the joke shop and maybe send a postcard back to london to say we miss everyone who didn't make it! oh there will be locusts and frogs too! all over the place!
