Valentine's Day is a day of celebrating love.

Before Lord of the Rings, before Harry Potter, before Pirates of the Caribbean, even before the Star Wars prequels, at the very end of that horrible 10-year fantasy film drought (a.k.a the 90s), a series of fantasy miniseries aired on TV and sort of helped me really get into the whole fantasy genre.

Last night, I finished watching Little Dorrit. Never read the book, as Dickens--in all due respect to my father and Desmond Hume--irks me. I will watch films or miniseries based on books that I have no desire whatsoever to read (hence how I found my beloved North and South to which this one compares in the best of terms).
