CR 2.0! Máire Luíseach

Aug 14, 2011 12:46

[I am going to hate myself later, for picking a name with fucking accents. $20 says I give up on it and start spelling her name "Maire Luiseach" after like two weeks...]

HAY GUYS, this is Máire. Máire works at the royal stables as head equerry, which is really just a fancy way of saying she looks after your shit if you happen to have horses-in-city. This is a relatively recent promotion; she was hired as an equerry / groom / whatever two years ago shortly after her arrival in town.

YOU KNOW HER AS AN EMPLOYEE IF:

1) You have a horse at the stables and she's assigned to look after it. (As there's probably several people on staff there).
2) You have hired her to train an animal for you (hounds for hunting, horses for battle, birds for falconry, etc).
3) You have hired her to train teach your child how to deal with an animal as a riding tutor or something like that.

BESIDES THAT,

1) She needs friends. ;~; she craves community, so it'd be nice to have a set of regular folks whom she thinks is reliable. This may entail you getting pranked on occasion in an utterly loving way (silly things may sometimes appear in your ledger, your bedroom door may be wired with the pop-noise kinds of explosives picked up from the market, you may misplace one of your shoes, etc). If you hate these kinds of pranks and she likes you, she'll stop. Probably. She's a nice girl! Mostly.

2) If you traveled mainland Europe 2-6 years ago, you might've encountered a set of gypsy traders who were in the business of taming wild horses and/or trading in them. She was one of them.

3) If you're a particularly perceptive Other who would like to be slightly suspicious about her origins (she's kind of otherworldly looking, since she's an aos si, [Irish fae/elf/thing]), let's talk. If you yourself are some kind of fae or elf mythologically speaking, let's talk more.

IF YOU'RE ASSOCIATED WITH THE CITADEL

1) She thinks you're scary and possibly off your rocker and/or treads very lightly around you. Erm. Sorry.

IF YOU'RE ASSOCIATED WITH THE HOUR

1) She's curious about your work, but hasn't outed herself as an other to anybody yet.
2) She's quite wary about the word "experiments," and if you've talked to her frequently, may have expressed concerns over ethics / what-have-you.
