LONDON.
Aujourd'hui, nous sommes tous anglais.
I just can't believe it. It makes me literally sick to my stomach.
The U.S. media coverage is ridiculous, too. I wish I lived in Europe.
Edgeware Road tube stop, dude. That's where you get on and off for the Landward, the flats where all the ND kids live. 4 months ago, that would have been Natalie and I on the morning train. A month and a half ago, it would have all my friends (Linds, Maggs, Scott, Greg, Jack, etc). A month and a half from now, it would have been even more ND kids on that train (Pat!). Instead, though, it was this morning. It was someone else's friends, parents, significant others. It just makes me absolutely sick.
Also sick: the lady I heard on the radio this morning saying that people who compared this to 9/11 were crazy, that this was not nearly the same scope or magnitude, that Londoners still have no idea what "we" went through. That somehow, this was not a big deal or something. I wanted to scream.
No, actually... I still do.
