I'm slightly (almost very) worried about college now. For so long, the whole thingy-doodle has seemed so far-off, and I've managed to stay pretty chill about it. But now, my application's been sent off to UCAS in England, and 2 schools contacted me a few weeks ago letting me know that they're looking at it now. Gah. I emailed Richmond-Upon-Thames the artwork that they'd requested, and it's only been a week and a half, but my nerves are kicking in now! My cousin Amina got accepted to University of Texas San Antonio, and I can't wait till I have that reassurance of an official acceptance- a clear and tangible document that says "SHANAZ IS GOING TO UNIVERSITTTYYY!!!". I'm not gonna stress it (yet). I know that I meet all the requirements, and the work I sent in was of a high quality. I just hate waiting! I gave up my Miss Most Patient title back in the Robb days- lately, I just want what I want. My "selfish"ness is totally justified in my mind right now. I'm finally liking myself enough to take the time to make me happy.

I'm trying to keep busy as much as possible from now on. I haven't got much time left with my Houstonians, and although it isn't totally setting in yet that I'm to be returning to London in less than 2 months, I do realise that these weeks need to be utilized. Tomorrow, Amina and I are hopefully gonna see a movie. Saturday is the Lion Pride Festival at school, and I'm required to help out with the Art Honour Society booth, so I'll be there till about 1. I'm hoping to chill with Tina afterwards. Sunday...who knows, I may just get to leave the house, but I'm not couting on it. Next week, we have Friday off, and Amina wants to go to club Hush for some high school party on Thursday night. I'm down for it, I'm not that into partying, but I have this crazy urge to shake my bootay at the moment, so it should be cool. We have a lot of days off in the near future- the underclassmen are taking the TAKS tests the week after next, and seniors (who've passed the tests) pretty much don't have to go to school for like 3 days. (WOO) I'll most probably go to the Jewellry show with Angela on Easter Sunday (it's Grandma's birthday, but she won't pass up on an excuse for me to buy her a gift!).

In England we got like 2 weeks off for Easter, and would recieve huge Easter eggs (which were the bomb- they were always themed, either by candy bar or cartoon or whatever. mmm.) I miss that. Here, we usually get the Friday and Monday off (4-day weekend, but we're making up Hurricane Rita days this year.

Weeeeeeeeee, it's Springtime!

(I swear, my feet were off the ground, but the camera cut 'em off lol)

We're doing henna art at the Lion Pride Festival, so I'm covered in practice designs. Purvi did a gorgeous peacock on my hand/wrist. You can kinda see it in this pic
