No one cared if we went to the Renfrew Fair this year or not since the only reason we go any more is for the food. Mostly the cinnamon buns, fresh-squeezed lemonade and bacon-on-a-bun (Canadian bacon. Peameal bacon, that is.) And we used to go for the fudge but their quality has dropped drastically...it's always horrible, grainy stuff now. So we just made our own...of all those things :)
I'm full. So I'm standing on the treadmill with it at a very leisurely 1.5 mph, a speed at which it is quite comfortable to type. (I have my lovely treadmill set up in a 'desk' style so that if I want I have the option of getting some (very) light exercise whenever I use my laptop. Or tablet. Or watch TV or etc. Walking is easier on my spine and feet that standing still.) This is also good for digestion. :) I can do it even if I don't feel well, the weather doesn't matter, I can listen to playlists from YouTube if I want...some people hate treadmills but I love them because you can multitask.
Today is gorgeous. I love this kind of weather...about 13C (I think that should be around 54F) and it's overcast. I need sunny as well, but overcast days are also very nice, properly interspersed with adequate sunlight. (This where winter is such a failure. It's overcast every single day, except the most desperately cold days where no one can bear to go outside. THOSE days are always sunny. I know why, scientifically speaking, but I don't like it any better just because i understand it.) Anyway, today I rolled my awnings in. Looks like I'm done needing them for 2015. I likely won't need to roll them back out (to prevent my huge south windows from turning my place into an oven) until May. Which is sad, but it's also nice because I like sun to pour in freely.
Fudge is such an enormous hassle to make. Next time I won't let poor Tera make it and end up throwing out a grainy batch...I'll just do the cheater fudge on my own. Chocolate Irish Cream fudge, yum. And it's never grainy because you're not adding your own sugar.
Okay, blah blah, I'm done now.
