I went to Autumn Leaf! (short report)

Aug 05, 2013 11:38

Today I went to Akihabara to visit Jun's cafe - Autumn Leaf! And since maybe some of you are interested in it, I thought about sharing my experiences.

Autumn Leaf is five minutes away from Akihabara Station and two minutes away from Suehirocho. At first I couldn't find it, because it's actually pretty small.

But I found it after I ran into a girl who wore a Tamiya shirt - I knew exactly where I was then haha. So I arrived there at about 10:50 am, the shop opens at 11 am. There were four people waiting in front of me - I was quite surprised, because I never experienced standing in a queue to get into a cafe. But that was okay, because we all got in pretty fast when the shop opened.

Watch out for this flag-kind of thingy - it will lead you automatically to Junjun's cafe :D (or more like you already arrived when you see it haha)

That's how the shop looks inside. I have to say that I was sitting in the area downstairs, so I couldn't make any pictures from upstairs. It looked really nice and it was clean; and after a few seconds a waiter brought me the menue and I ordered my lunch which was this:

Pretty much all of the customers (btw the shop was full after half an hour) ate french toast and drank smoothies which is the main dish of the cafe. But since I didn't eat anything up until then, I decided to take their lunch set - and it was really good! It costs 1260 Yen.

If you order french toast you can choose three sorts of fruit that go with your toast like banana, grapes, apple, pineapple, melon, and and and. There is really a big variety of fruits that you can choose from. Plus you can choose the sauce too - chocolate, maple syrup or caramel. I am not sure how much the french toast was - I think about 1000 Yen. It looked really good (^c^)

Actually you don't really get a Golden Bomber or Junjun like of atmosphere, because the only thing that shows people that this shop is under Jun's production is the sign outside the cafe. But I think that's totally okay, because it's not supposed to be a GB cafe, but simply a fruits bar that comes with a cafe. I was still pretty nervous when I was there, because in my head I was always like "Oh god Jun was here! And Kenji! And god knows who else!" haha

Ah - and I almost forgot about the Ikemen staff. Well, some of them were looking nice, but I guess I can't really get my tension up by getting served by them. Sorry Jun haha

I recommend every fan of GB or Junjun to go there - just because.. it's Jun's freaking shop! :D
