Update

I've wanted to write for a little bit, just haven't had the urge to sit down and actually write anything out. Let's see... registration for school started for the fall and I found out I can't take the class that I've been planning on taking for quite awhile now. I have to take the grad version of it which is only offered in the winter session... which means right now I'm stuck taking only one class next fall. I need to meet with an advisor and see what I can do. I am applying to the grad program right now, so once that's done I think a lot of stuff with clear itself up. Hopefully I'll be able to take a lot more classes and get my way going on the grad program. one of these days I'll be done with school. Who knows when.

Softball tryouts are over. Kind of.... this season has been one big mess already. We've had three girls show up after tryouts were over and want to play. Why couldn't they have come during tryouts? It doesn't quite seem fair to the team. But anyway, we are giving them a week tryout and going from there. Two juniors, Kristen and Emily, whom I've coached for two years were offered a position on the JV team... but they decided against it. Now Emily is double thinking it... who knows. I just want to know who's on my team and go from there. I've never had this situation before. Can't I just get to coaching and do my job? I have a lot to teach them in the next few weeks before our games start. I also have a lot to learn myself. I've coached for two seasons and I still have a lot to learn about situations and such like that.

Spring break is over and so that means more driving back to school. My car is in the shop right now so I'm driving Pete's car and he's driving his parents grand am that they have. I'm glad I have someone that trusts me with their car and is willing to help me out when I need it.
Speaking of Pete. He's planning a trip right now to Australia with his friend Paul. I feel bad because Pete already had a lot of plans made with me for these weekends in march and he's not able to devote as much time as he wants to planning. I tried to help him out with some stuff last night and hopefully they'll get stuff figured out.

Turns out we're getting a new dog. Cinnamon is still just fine and hasn't passed on. But there is a 1.5 year old Golden Retriever with a heart murmur and my mom and brother decided that we're going to adopt it. She should help Cinnamon by giving her a friend around the house and someone else to play with. We haven't had a new pet, besides a hampster, in 13 years. That's a really long time, more than half of my life. We're getting her this weekend, but my mom is taking her up north, so I won't get to meet her until next week. I'm excited, even though it's not a puppy ;)

Then in August my mom and I, and maybe my brother, are headed to Italy. My cousin(like second cousin once removed or something) is getting married in Tuscany. Her fiance is Italian and she met him over there. So we're going over their for the wedding, but we're also going to fly in about a week and a half early and travel around Europe a little bit. I need to do some planning for that also and figure out where I want to go that I haven't been. Maybe the south part of Germany or something like that. Any suggestions? I've done Paris, Amsterdam, Most of Italy, Spain...oohhh, but maybe Barcelona, that could be fun.

So that is about all that is up with me right now. Two weekends ago pete and I went down to Indianapolis for the Big Ten Tournament. We stayed Friday night with Angela in martinsville. She works at a camp down there. It was a lot of fun and her camp is really cute. Then the next day we went to see State play against Iowa, they lost unfortunately, and then saw the next game also. That night we went over to his friend Eric's house and walked along the Canal Walk where he lives. It was really pretty and I liked it a lot. The city of Indy is so pretty, and really clean also. It was a lot of fun seeing so many different fans of different Big Ten schools. It was a great environment even if we were way up in the top of Conseco Fieldhouse.

In the evening, Angela was feeling kinda sick so she headed back home. The rest of us went out to PF Changs for dinner and then to The Slippery Noodle that night. It was a really cool Blues bar. It was this huge building with a lot of different rooms. We sat up in a balcony overlooking the stage and had a couple of drinks before heading home.

Sunday we met up with Marshall and his girlfriend Kelly. We went to the Children's Museum. It was pretty cool and wasted some time in the morning. Then after that we went and got some lunch at Hard Rock Cafe before the game. THe game was somewhat uneventful. Ohio State was winning most of the game and then Iowa came out of nowhere and beat them in the end.

On the drive home Pete and I stopped by Frye's Electronics so I could get some Astronaut Ice Cream. They have it for $1.25 and I am strangely addicted to it. I just love it and most places it's around $4 at least. So yeah, we're way cool. The drive back wasn't too bad and I took a nap for part of it. I love taking trips with Pete. It was a fun mini vacation.

This last weekend Pete and I went and saw some of the games at the Palace for the first and second round of the NCAA tournament. Unfortunately State didn't make it past the first round, but we saw a good upset with Bradley making it into the sweet 16.
Oh, and Saturday night Pete took me out to dinner at a cool Italian Restaurant then we went to see David Copperfield at the Fox Theater. It was my birthday present. He made a car appear onstage! It was way cool. I really have no idea how he does all of that magic stuff. =) It's just amazing! He also is really really corny but I found it hilarious.

ok yeah, that's all!
