Russia Samara, September-October 2008: Open Student Film Festival “8½”
The following film genres are welcome to participate in the contest:
classic drama
film adaptation
love story
detective story
action film
comedy
school story
musical film
art house
sports film
cover film
anime-cosplay film
The topic of the year 2008 Festival is “Me and My Home”.
Applications are to be submitted by e-mail: film812@yandex.ru; by regular mail: 443099 Russia, Samara, ul. Kuybusheva, 96, House of Cinema, “Volga-Film” Studio (please put the “8½” mark on the envelope). The deadline for applications is September 7, 2008.
Please provide the following information in your application:
Name, school/college/university, your genre (in case of screen adaptation or cover film please provide the source), film name, brief annotation, address, contact phone and/or e-mail, photograph of the author.
The ready DVD films are to be sent by September 21, 2008 to: 443099 Samara, ul. Kuybusheva, 96, House of Cinema, “Volga-Film” Studio (please put the “8½” mark on the package).
The festival will also have a screenplay contest “Paper Meter” for films up to 8.5 minutes long. (The screenplay is supposed to be for a 8.5-minute film.)
