Martin: such a fox

Man, John Amplas was dreamy when he was younger. Martin was made in 1977 and it works so well partly because of his pretty face -- he looks positively angelic.

so, like, the real reason you like Martin is because you think John Amplas is hot? the rest was just pseudo-intellectual garbage ^_-?

Not at all. I really like the film. But part of why it works is that John Amplas has an angelic, innocent face. The film's premise requires a protagonist who seems, in all manners, to be a complete innocent. That's what makes the movie so interesting.

horrendously late argh argh... but YES! I will be in Toronto next year, possibly even the year after that depending on whether I (a) get into law school and (b) choose to defer admission. I am travelling (that sounds so glamorous... unfortunately it's not, rather grimy really) for the first bit of January, but I am moving back from Boston on Dec 18. Good God. That's two days away.
