The rise and fall of Dragomir Vinca

Had a very nice drive up to york on saturday morning, I havent driven a long distance in a while and this was a really nice chance to listen to music and enjoy driving fast, tho not too fast, but on UK roads getting up to about 90 mph on motorways is usually safe if your careful, but hardly sensible since you can lose your licence if your caught.

It was the first game of our run of the Geovanni Chronicals, oldskool Vampire the Masquerade tabletop - we all started off by generating mortals and proceeded to be shucked and devoured by a group of utter bastids who were also vampires. My own character is an early philosopher, with lots of heretical views and an interest in hermetic magic and early protestantism - He ended up getting conned tp fall to his near death from a roof - dumbass. Ian is playing the Kurgan, with a motorhead mask on and is a 7 foot tall killing machine - tho in this case got easily steamrollered by some vampires. Dave is playing a gay blade style itallian swordsman, Maryanne a scarlet pimpernell style thief who got her throat ripped out, and Jeff was playing an artist who got transformed into a human blood paintbrush. Basically we got utterly shafted by a load of vampires, who gloated over our horrible deaths and so on. All part of a fun nights RPing, tho we did end up then getting embraced.

We played till about 4am, and the next day around 1pm I met up with Big Simon and Cheryl some old friends from my time in Middlesbrough, bizzarely I also saw an old friend from Onyx internet, Helen, who was now living in york! Very cool to say hi to her. York is just an amazing city, and I am kicking myself for not having exlored it more on previous trips, my RP friends there live about 10 mins from the city centre and they have a lovely streetmarket on sundays, some great restaurants and a lovely cathedral. Picked up some pickled garlic, a couple of fine insense holders and a few bottles of beer. Mrrr I need to go back there next time im up, do a little more shopping :)

friends, rpg
