The retarded will sing
In clear and lovely ring
And the unable will dance
In fluid bow and spring
Deformation will not hold
And there still remains a mold
A perfect, beautiful frame
That yearns to bear your name
You will be new
Just like the spirit inside you
That's reborn despite the weight of history
A desperate hope that's all but absurdity
That has always hidden in your dreams
Like an elusive, youth giving stream
The cruel will fall into weakness
The rude will shy into meekness
Even you, man of poured out strength
Are without a hard-earned Claim
Yet humiliation cannot stay
And fear must be swept away
When love, in full, arrives
Perfecting willing lives
You will be new
Even the spirit inside you
Which must rise and thank the day
And nightly, gratefully remain
A river transcends your dreams
A sparkling, bathing stream
