It's going to be about six months before I can be re-evaluated and put on the transplant list. Great. Six more months of dialysis. They want me to get a fistula, basically they connect an artery directly to a vein. Right now I have a catheter in an artery in my groin. I'm a little hesitant about getting a fistula because that means I will have to be poked by at least a 15 gauge needle (twice) every time I go in. The good aspect being that I can shower again and not have a catheter in my groin which means I can get another step closer to living semi normal until I get my second transplant. I'm not happy about waiting this long but there's nothing I can do about it, perhaps this will enlighten me and get back into taking college classes. I'll probably stick with liberal arts and science until I can decide on a major, I have too many interests to focus on something right now. Obviously I strive for art but I also want to get into biology yet at the same time I really savor cultural studies with an emphasis in literature. I got time to worry about it I guess. For now I'll just go with the motion of the ocean.
