Whew...

It's been an awesome couple of days! Yesterday after work, I headed over to Jamie's to spend the night. We had dinner at Yo Sushi (where they were playing SHINee, as I told Sara romanticgraze already, I totally thought of you!), headed to the Fairfield Mall for like thirty seconds because it was about to close, and spent the rest of our time together watching stuff. We finished Maou finally (and Jamie evidently holds me personally responsible for the ending because she said I was no longer her friend after it was over), watched VS Arashi with Gackt and Arashi on Utaban with all the geinin (so that I could earn my way back into her good graces), slept, then watched the last three episodes of Stand Up!! and a movie called 20th Century Boys, which is apparently the first in a trilogy and was pretty good (Jamie was pretty excited about the giant robot). In the midst of that, I got to help Jamie scoop dog poop in the dark, and witnessed her endless epic battles with her pets. Good times had by all. No, really, I had a lot of fun. ^^

Then tonight! I thought it was just gonna be me and my friend Kim, but Christina, Paul, and his sister Naomi also came to the midnight showing of Harry Potter. We ended up in line behind Selena and her husband, so that was fun. I got there at 11, and the line was wrapped around the ENTIRE building and stretched across the parking lot. It was insane! EVERY theater was in use that night, so the parking lot was FULL of cars. It was insane! I've never seen anything like it. They started letting people in around the time I got there, but we didn't get inside until almost midnight. It was packed inside, and we were lucky to find a place where we could all sit together that wasn't quite the front row. The movie finally started at 12:30, probably because it took that long for everyone to actually get into the theater. Insane! Selena and her husband said that every showing in Sacramento was sold out, and most other theaters were doing the same thing, showing the movie on every screen. Since when did Harry Potter movies become this big of a deal?? I've been to midnight showings of Harry Potter movies before and it was never like this. It was a pretty epic adventure. At any rate, the movie was quite good, possibly the best one yet. I recommend it. ^^

I should probably try to wind down and get some sleep, since it's getting close to 4am... But will I? Not likely. Must check flist...
