Not that it matters, really, but have you guys seen
the cdtv ranking of who you want to be your lover? I'm pleasantly surprised that Nino made the list! I don't really understand why Kame and Jin always dominate these rankings though, lol. Maybe it's all based on looks? idek. Actually, I still kind of don't quite understand why Jun is supposedly the most モテる Arashi member. Is it all because of Hanadan, or was it always like that? Also, it was kinda cool to see Jaejoong on the list, although wow, number 3? Higher than I would've expected. ^_^;;
A brief, non-spoiler-ish review of Gakko ja Oshierarenai!: It was cute, I suppose, although I thought it was going to be funny and it wasn't, really. It was definitely what I think of as a "seishun drama," aka discovering who your true friends are, growing up a little bit, etc etc, except dude, this drama pretty much tells you that love can, in fact, solve every problem in this world. It kind of made me want to punch something after a while. My other main issue with it is that it brought up some serious issues with some of the characters in the earlier episodes (teenage pregnancy, domestic violence, suicide, etc.) and sort of dealt with them...and then dropped them and they were never mentioned again, like, as if they had been solved even though they really hadn't. Also, the girl who plays the teacher (Mai-chan) is kind of annoying... But most of the characters I found to be pretty endearing. Overall, it was more or less worth watching, but I don't think I'd watch it again. Up next: Hero! There's just something about those older, classic KimuTaku dramas, like Good Luck!! and Pride and Long Vacation (and even the sad ones like Beautiful Life and A Million Stars Fall from the Sky) that I haven't felt from his more recent dramas. Maybe they're missing the element of Epic Romance that I love from his dramas, I dunno. Anyway, I know I'm really going to enjoy watching this. ^^
Also, the end of The Quiz Show...was pretty much what I expected. It was good, but not surprising. I felt like the suspense was kind of gone, since I already pretty much knew what was going to happen. Also, wow, Yoko had some serious snot going on when he was crying. XD;; There was a bit too much bawling for my taste... Still really good though, just not quite as good as I'd hoped, I guess.
Nothing much to report as far as real life goes. Hung out with Jamie yesterday, then we went together to Chris's birthday party, in which we watched part of a bunch of Japanese movies, haha. Jamie and I might have to finish Koi no Mon, because it was pretty entertaining in all its crackiness. And Jamie, I figured it out! The girl is from IWGP. When I looked up the movie and saw that, I was like, ohhhhh. lol But I think the best part of the party was the photo session at the end, with such epic poses as each of the guys taking turns being a pimp (I think Daisuke might have done the best job even though he could barely stop laughing), and the white family photo pose. For those of you who have me on Facebook, you can see the pictures on there~ Hopefully I'll get to hang out with everyone again before practically all of them leave for Japan next month. XD;;
