What's happening

Thursday - 06/01:

The last day of high school ... I woke up at 8:30 a.m. to to get to school early. On half days, alternative school kids just come in early so that you can get out earlier. However, I wasn't going in early to get out early. I needed to stay there as long as it took to get my Algebra II credit finished. I only had 5 modules and a project left. I could do it. I had from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. to do it. No problem.

When I got there, a girl, whom was also a senior and from the afternoon class, was already there. She was almost finished too. As our eyes met, she smiled at me as if to say hi. I gave a fake smile back, not to be rude. Mrs. Jacobs said she went through my modules and said that if I couldn't figure them out (because she failed to figure them out herself), then she'd just pass me through them. If she couldn't figure them out, I don't know how I'd be able to. The first two modules were like fucking Japanese. They made absolutely no sense. I couldn't even see a pattern in them. I usually figure out math by looking for patterns in the numbers, which Mrs. Jacobs thought we very unusual whenever she'd have to teach me one of the modules. When I got to their third module, I actually managed to see a pattern, and passed it without assistance. By then, I was worn out, and excuse myself to get something to drink from the vending machine down the hallway. My brain hurt enough already from sleep depravation, and learning math on my own wore me out even more. The only pop in the vending machine that I like is Mug Rootbeer, which I settled for.

When I started on my fourth module, it was 11:30 a.m., and Mrs. Lewis came in with food for herself and Mrs. Jacobs. The girl that was there before me finished her last module, and was happy to be finally finished with high school as she said goodbye to Mrs. Jacobs and Mrs. Lewis. Some of the usual boys were in there, whom evidentally weren't going to be finished by the end of the day and would have to take summer school. By noon, I was on the project. There were two parts I had to finish. I tried doing them myself twice, and each time it would say my data was inaccurate. At some point, Bobby and a friend of his came in to say a final goodbye to the teachers. Something odd happened though, Bobby's friend said bye to me, even though I have never spoken to him before in my entire life. Bobby, I've spoken to like once. What the fuck? I suppose it was some sort of inside joke, and shrugged it off. The only thing I didn't get was how he knew my name. He said it incorrectly, but he had the gist. I guess Bobby must have told him, but why would they be talking about me? ... Guys are weird.

Mrs. Lewis had to help me with the project since I couldn't get it right now matter how I put the data in. The modules were having an error because Mrs. Lewis put in the correct answers, and it still said it was wrong so they passed me through it. As I put clipboard and calculator away, Traci Van Gundy came in. I wasn't even aware that she went to alternative school. She must have been in the afternoon class. When she saw me, she looked a little shocked, and then kept on talking to the teachers. I grabbed my stuff and walked up to Mrs. Jacobs desk to clock out, and she said, "Well, aren't you excited?! You just finished high school!" I gave a fake smile and said, "Sure, it's great. I'm thrilled." Both teachers laughed at me for my fake enthusiasm. Traci even laughed a little. "I'm excited, really ... I'm just really tired. Three hours of sleep in all ... so ya, tired," I said indifferently. Mrs. Lewis said, "Ok then, well, you go home and celebrate. Good luck with college!" I looked at her like she was crazy, and said, "Right ... celebrate by taking a very long nap." They laughed at me again. "Well, thanks for everything. I made it," I said, as I walked out the door. Before I got completely out the door, Mrs. Lewis said, "Feels weird, doesn't it?" I just nodded as I shut the door behind me.

When I got home, I did just like I said. I took a long nap. When I woke up, it was like 6 p.m. Hahaha, I'd be up all night. I got online for a while, and then got off and watched movies. When my mom didn't come home right away, I called to see where she was. She stopped at the bar with some friends from work and she was on her way home. She sounded odd though. Then she told me that we probably won't get the house because there was a higher offer made. She couldn't out-bid them because we couldn't afford any higher payments.

When she got home, she was sniffling and her eyes were red. ... Goddamnit, now I feel bad because I hoped she wouldn't get the house. I didn't know she was gonna fucking cry over it! I thought. The best thing to do when my mother cries is to leave her alone. If you try consoling her, she'll just end up getting mad (don't ask how that makes sense, because I honestly have no idea). Plus, there wasn't anything I could say to make her feel better anyway. We didn't talk for like a hour, before she asked me to make her something to eat. I didn't resist at all, and just got up and did as I was told. Usually, I get frustrated when I'm in the middle of doing something and she asks me to drop it all, and do something for her. I didn't want to make her more upset so I let it go and didn't complain. After making her something to eat, I went to bed.

Yesterday - 06/02:

I slept until like way in the afternoon, but didn't really pay attention to what time it was. I woke up to my cellphone ringing. It was Dana. She said that we couldn't hang out because she was still grounded. I told her to call me back in 10 minutes because I needed to go to the bathroom badly. After going to the bathroom, I had something to eat. It was like 40 minutes before Dana called me back. There was a good reason though. Her mom had found an abandoned kitten in the middle of the road, and they'd been attending to it. I could hear it meowing loudly in the background. It sounded more like a baby's cry than a cat meowing though. Dana guessed that the kitten wasn't anymore older than two weeks old. Its torso was about the size of her fist (and she has small hands). Dana gave it some milk, which I greatly stressed not to do because cow's milk is entirely different from cat's milk. I heard once that cow's milk can actually poison a kitten, and to just give her water. It was like 7:30 a.m. by the time I got off the phone with her.

I didn't feel like getting online. I chilled on the couch and watched TV. The Simpsons, Malcom in the Middle, That 70's Show, etc. I called my mom, she'd been gone all day. She was over at Ken's, and sounded cheerful. Well, as luck would have it, she did get the house. The people with the higher bid had until midnight to call, and they didn't, so the house went to my mother. It's 100% official now, we're moving. She kept squeeling in happiness as she cheered about having gotten the house. "See, you cried for nothing last night," I said.

Eventually, Matt got up and got ready for work. I asked where his main CD case was. It was in his car and asked why I needed it. "Well, I was wondering if I could burn some of them. Since you're moving in with stoner kid and all, I won't be able to borrow them anymore," I said. "Well, I won't be going anytime soon. You know, someone made a higher bid on the house," he said. "My mom got it anyway. The others didn't call by midnight, so it went to her," I informed him. He was surprised, and then went out to his car to get the CD case. I copied the CDs I didn't have, that I wanted. My mom came home at 10:30 p.m., as cheerful as can be, and we had pizza rolls in celebration of getting the house. *lol*

Today - 06/03:

I slept until 2 p.m., then Dana called me to ask me over. She wasn't grounded anymore, but because the kitten needs tending to, she has to remain at there. I said I'd be over. I fixed my face and my hair, put the cat and dog on opposite sides of the kitchen with leashes, and headed to Dana's.

When I pulled up to her trailer, she was outside talking to the guy across the street. In her arms was the little kitten her mom found. It was so small. At this age, it's difficult to tell which gender it is without taking it to a vet, so we referred to the kitten as an "it" for now. When I got to hold it, all you could feel was it's bones through it's fragile little body. Nothing but fur and bones. It was almost weightless. Its claws went into the skin, afraid that I might drop it. It could fit into one hand. It was so cute. We went inside the trailer, and went immediately into Dana's room. Their other two cats didn't like the new kitten so for the time being, the kitten was isolated into Dana's room. It had a woble to its walk, still not totally balanced. "So you just found it in the middle of the road?" I asked Dana's mom, as she peered in the doorway. "Yep, found it just down the road from the trailer. Its mom wasn't no where in sight," Dana's mom answered. "Awww! It could've been ran over!" I whined, cringing at the thought. In the corner of Dana's room, there were three lids. One with water, another with mushed wet cat food, and the other with crushed dry cat food. Oddly, the little kitten eat the cat food with ease. Its litterbox was made from an old shoebox, with a plastic bag lining it.

Dana and I spent our time watching movies on their Dish Network, while playing with the little kitten. At some point, I called Billy, and made plans with him for tomorrow since Dana said most likely she wouldn't be able to come over. I asked her if she would mind if I saw X-Men 3 with Billy, and I'd take her to see it later (because I wouldn't mind seeing it twice). She said that was ok, and to stop waiting for her. At this rate, I may never see it with how Ronny was being in not letting her go anywhere. I made absolutely sure that she was ok with it, and that if she wanted me to wait for her, I would, and it would be no problem, but she insisted. I'll still feel bad though if I go without her.

I had to leave at about 7:30 p.m. because Ronny was heading home. For whatever reason, he'd get mad to find me there, even though Dana isn't grounded anymore. *rolls eyes*
