OK, I haven't updated in a while, so hopefully I get everything in here that has happened the past couple of days. First of all, BK is going just fine. In fact I'm really excited about it, and I can't wait to work on some of the exercises we have to the bone. I'm going to go up this Friday to Riverside so that we could drum. It's cool, cause we're probably going to get to drum in a room, and drum as late as we want.
Saturday was all right. There were a lot of stupid things that happened with the competition that shouldn't have happened. We didn't even get judged, because the band director is just out to lunch sometimes. Oh well, at least he knows now. Hopefully we do somewhat well on the field this weekend at Royal.
Sunday, was a regular practice, but we did more physical stuff this weekend. We (the battery) got together and stretched to all of paul's weird stretches, and went running. Then we came back and did some really detailed block drill. That wasn't too bad. We had our orientation, and we also had our pictures taken for the website. Overall, it was cool. Then after practice we went to In and Out to go hang. When I got back to my truck to go home, I saw my gas cover open, and a wire sticking out. Some jacked my gas cap! Who would do that?! Right now I have a gas cap on it cause I went and bought one on Tuesday (the only day I could find time to do that). $7, that's all someone had to pay for to get their own damn gas cap. Stupid people, I swear.
Monday was all right. I went to school, did my thing. IT'S FINALLY RAINING OUT HERE! Thank god. I love the rain, and it just puts me in such a good mood. I'm slowly falling behind in school, and I need this to help out with the stress on my shoulders. Unfortunately I didn't get to go to South Pas rehearsal, but it's all good, I'm going today. I finally added my ensemble class. I had to have everyone and their freakin mother sign this paper to approve my addition. I've also been sending emails to some people here at school, seeing what I can do to possibly study abroad this coming year. I have already talked to my advisor and a couple of my teachers about it, and they said I should go ahead and give it a try. I think that would be so cool to go study abroad, cause I love it over there in Europe, and I've been waiting for a chance to come up to where I might be able to go over there. I might have to go study abroad for a whole year though. That would be crazy. Leaving everyone I know out here for a whole year. But I think I would get a lot of stuff done over there and learn a whole lot. I'm meeting with this helper on Monday to talk to her about studying abroad, and what I need to do to get it rollin.
Tuesday, again it rained! I got a couple things done in the morning, cause I don't have class early in the morning. Most importantly I got my desk moved into my place. My friend Julio has had it with him ever since we were living together, and now I finally got it back to put all of my stuff away in my room correctly and have it more organized. I was excited. My Wind Ensemble principal finally handed our parts to us on Tuesday after having it for a whole week. And the Professor scolded some of us for "not knowing our parts." So he's going to email him about that, and explain what happened. I went to Simi afterwords for their music rehearsal (cause it was raining). And got a couple things done. I'm getting used to how fast they learn and what they can do. They're slowly but surely gettin by.
Last night I stayed up forever working on my Midterm project. I need to catch up this weekend. I would like to go to the show this Saturday, but it's looking like I need to stay home and get some schoolwork done to catch up, cause it's more important at this point. I have another midterm due on Wednesday of next week, and I need to catch up with the work before I can do that. Not looking forward to all of that. OK, well it's time for me to go, cause I have to get ready for class. I'll try get back and write some more about what's going on.
